Day Before My Birthday

Well, I am new to blogging and I figured since I am on the computer quite a bit anyways I should try it out. Plus I'm horrible at keeping a journal!
It is the night before my birthday, and I have to say that having Talon is definitely the best birthday present ever. It is amazing to watch him change and grow everyday. When we first brought him home, I think we were both a little worried that we wouldn't know what to do. But now it seems like second nature to have him here, and I can't imagine our lives without him.
The most amazing thing to watch is how fast he is learning. Most recently he has started smiling. There is nothing that can make your day like seeing your baby smile at you! He has also started "talking" a lot more. He especially loves to talk when he is being read to. He gets most excited when I read Dr. Suess to him, he reaches out for the book and smiles.
He is also learning what his hands are for. He is getting really good at grabbing things now, not so good, however, at letting them go. LOL :)
Last night he slept for 7 hours, pretty impressive. Usually he sleeps about 4 or 5, so we were pretty stoked about his long night. I can't wait to see what he will do next. It seems like everyday he learns and discovers something new.
Speaking of Talon, he is waking up, so I better get going. I will try to keep up on this and hopefully can post again soon!
